My name is Carissa and I am a trainer here at Self-Made Folsom. I have 7-years of experience in the fitness industry. I played volleyball all through high-school and after I was done, I needed another outlet. That’s when I discovered weight training. I fell in love with training and the challenge. As I progressed, I wanted to use my knowledge to help others. I liked helping others be the best version of themselves, I didn’t know how I would do that. Once I was certified, I discovered this was my purpose. I needed to be out there helping as many people as I could. Once I started training people, I’ve had the opportunity to help a wide variety of people get to their best selves.

Fitness isn’t just a job for me; its a lifestyle. My journey began with a deep-seated desire to help others transform their lives through exercise and wellness. Whether you’re aiming to loose weight, build muscle, improve flexibility, or enhance overall fitness, I am here to guide and support you every step of the way.

I offer personalized nutrition plans and guidance to complement training programs. I help clients stay motivated and push them to be their very best. I believe in fostering a supportive and motivating environment to keep clients inspired and committed to their fitness goals. I help with injury prevention. For clients recovering from injuries or medical conditions, I provide specialized exercise programs aimed at rehabilitation and safe recovery.
